Our first show of the year will be the Metropolitan Lawn and Garden Show at the American Royal. This is one of our favorite shows and there will be Orchid Vendors from around the Midwest. In addition to the Orchid vendors you will be able to observe multiple Orchid displays that will be judged with ribbons and various glassware!! Hope to see you there!

* Orchid Class 101Orchid Class 101
Time: 6:00 pm
Through lecture, hands on demonstration, and the opportunity to repot an orchid to take home, you will learn all the basics in Orchids 101. The class is held at the Cave and instructed by the Owner of Birds Botanicals, David Bird. These classes are held once a month, usually toward the middle of the month, and registration can be conducted over the phone at 816-252-4478. Class fee is $29. Class lasts from 6-9pm, and is always conducted on Thursday evenings. We ask participants to come around 5:30 to sign-in, grab some cookies and coffee, and to find a good seat!

Our second show of the year will be the Lawn and Garden show in Topeka, Kansas. We have lots of people that come see us every year and we always bring a great variety of plants to this show! You can find us in our usual area surrounded by flower beds on both sides!!
